The Melburnian

At The Melburnian, precision and restraint define this refined transformation. In collaboration with Alexander Gray Design Studio, Gladstone Building Projects meticulously reimagined the apartment, stripping it back to its framework to create a seamless interplay of materiality and light.

The Melburnian

Featuring quarter-cut American oak joinery, Bauwerk limewash-painted walls, and limestone benchtops, this renovation is a study in refined materiality and seamless design. Thoughtfully reimagined, the space embraces light, texture, and sweeping city views to create a home that feels both contemporary and deeply personal.

Custom-stained American oak joinery establishes warmth and cohesion at its core, complementing the engineered timber flooring. The limewashed walls shift with the light, introducing quiet movement and depth, while limestone benchtops ground the space with timeless elegance. Executed over six months, the project was a study in precision and collaboration, resulting in a home where contemporary refinement meets effortless living—framed by breathtaking, uninterrupted views of Melbourne’s skyline.

Gladstone Building Projects was fantastic to work with. We truly appreciated the team’s proactive and responsive approach throughout the renovation. Michael put himself in our shoes to deliver an apartment finished to the highest standard.” – Owner of The Melburnian
